The Pink Lotus Academia - Online Intensive Sitar Workshop
The Pink Lotus Academia presents a 2-day Intensive sitar workshop led by renowned sitarist Shri Soumitra Thakur. Designed for beginners, intermediate, and advanced learners, the workshop focuses on riyaz methods, techniques, and performance skills. Participants will explore sitar basics, advanced alankars, gayaki and tantrakari ang, sargam patterns,hand coordination, new compositions, and personalized practice structures. The program is tailored to suit participants from IST, AEDT, and other time zones, ensuring an inclusive and enriching learning experience.
Shri Soumitra Thakur, an A Grade All India Radio artist, Balshree Award recipient, and Gold Medalist from The University of Delhi, brings extensive training from the Bishnupur and Maihar Gharanas and has performed at prestigious venues across India.
