About Thoughts On Canvas
Thoughts on Canvas is focused on building a culture of Early Design in children so that they can fulfil their ambitions of being anything they want : an architect, a fashion designer, an engineer or an interior or jewellery designer , whatever their heart desires.The school operates on the principle that art reflects and inspires a creative society.
Thoughts on Canvas was established in 2009 in Gurgaon, India as a school for art with a vision to develop curiosity in art for young learners.
The school is founded by Garima Govil (NIFT Delhi and International Design Academy Toronto trained), with nearly 15 years of experience in fashion, art and design.
The school is based on virtual teaching through Zoom / Skype and offers :
1. Regular one-hour art and early design classes for age groups 5-18 years
2. Degree courses in art in association with Prayag Samiti (degree institute)
3. Corporate and school art workshops
4. National level art competitions for students e.g. TOC Art Festival, Youngium, Kala on Canvas
